chrome browser on unity with touchscreen hangs on maximize

This is on unity/ubuntu 13.10
Working on thinkpad t440s with touchscreen
Using both Chromium and Google-chrome

Closely related to other bug I just reported. (LP:#1272108)

When dragging chrome window to the top of the screen, using the touch screen, it maximizes 'half way' and then hangs the window manager.

Only way to stop it is Ctrl-Alt-f1 and kill the browser from outside of unity.

I think it should be considered unity bug or touchscreen bug because this behaviour could be in any piece of software.
