Bug Description

Starting chromium-browser and entering the following URL completely freezes the whole browser (not only a tab):

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/zotero-connector/ekhagklcjbdpajgpjgmbionohlpdbjgc

The browser output includes the following suspicious line:

Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The process that takes up 100% of the CPU is:

chromium-browser --type=gpu-process --channel=12010.2.405749741 --gpu-vendor-id=0x10de --gpu-device-id=0x00cd --gpu-driver-vendor=NVIDIA --gpu-driver-version=304.

The graphics card I am using:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation NV41 [Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI] (rev a2) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
        Subsystem: NVIDIA Corporation wx4300 Workstation
