incorrectly claims "no support for specified release"

Bug Description

In the netboot installer, it's failing to get past choose-mirror because it claims that:

WARNING **: mirror does not support the specified release (precise)
INFO: mirror does not have any suite symlinks

However the wget command it is showing works fine in a busybox shell. Please see the attached photos of both.

Your 2nd test in busybox isn't greping the output of wget but the "Release" file from the filesystem which contains those lines as you've shown in your first test.

Can you repeat the 2nd test without mentioning the "Release" file in the piped grep call?

I had correctly grepped, it was fine. However, the bug was upstream in the maas enlistment preseed which was setting an http proxy :(

Changed in choose-mirror (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
