Bug Description

Suddenly on my Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic system, chkrootkit is hanging on the tcpdump step. This started yesterday (11/7/22).

chkrootkit:
  Installed: 0.55-4
  Candidate: 0.55-4
  Version table:
 *** 0.55-4 500
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu kinetic/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Here's the debug info:

Checking `tcpdump'... + chk_tcpdump
+ STATUS=1
+ TCPDUMP_I_L=212.146.0.34:1963
+ _chk_netstat_or_ss
+ netstat=netstat
+ loc ss ss /usr/local/sbin /usr/local/bin /usr/sbin /usr/bin /sbin /bin /snap/bin /sbin /usr/sbin /lib /usr/lib /usr/libexec .
+ thing=ss
+ shift
+ dflt=ss

+ test -f /usr/local/bin/ss
+ :
+ test -f /usr/sbin/ss
+ :
+ test -f /usr/bin/ss
+ echo /usr/bin/ss
+ exit 0
+ CMD=/usr/bin/ss
+ [ 0 -eq 0 ]
+ netstat=ss
+ OPT=-an
+ [ ss = ss ]
+ OPT=-a
+ ss -a
+ /usr/bin/egrep 212.146.0.34:1963

It just hangs there until I kill the processes.
