Binary package hint: cheese

when snapping a photo, cheese crashes. i was using the edge-effect. photo seems to be stored correctly, as it is in the list when restarting cheese.

It happened to me when I was using no effects at all. (My crash was marked as a duplicate.)

Something unusual that may be a symptom or may be another unrelated bug:
the live view showed over-top of any overlapping windows (including drop-down menus - which made it difficult to select options from them)

Cheese works for me now. It may be updates, or the error may have been related to a bad config (i've deleted all configs). Not changing status of the bug, in case commenter in #5 still has problems.

It still crashes for me with the same error message. Though, interestingly, apport does not activate now.
