Bug Description

Binary package hint: cheese

Without gnome-icon-theme cheese doesn't show the photos taken in it's lower part. I was unable to find the photos on my computer until I installed the package. I think it should be made dependend (as I am using kubuntu, it wasn't installed on my system).

why would a icon theme have such an impact on cheese? sounds like a general bug that should be fixed rather than requiring a certain icon theme to be installed.

Thank you for your bug report? Which version are you using?

Cheese shouldn't depend on any particular icon theme to work. Rather, it should ship it's own fallback icons in hicolor if it behaves badly without them.
