uvcvideo webcam in kernel 2.6.27 is crashing with resolution higher than 176x144

Same bug for me : when I launch cheese, the LED of my webcam turns on, but no image appears on cheese. Then the program is totally frozen and I have to kill it.

Actually it works when I set a resolution of 176x144 (it crashes then I set it, but when I restart cheese the webcam image is correctly displayed with this low-res)
