webcam loop when starting cheese

Today I started cheese to take a picture from the webcam.

apt show cheese
Package: cheese
Version: 41.1-1build1

The preview was looping on a very short video loop. Not displaying realtime video capture.

snap package is working.

snap version: cheese 44.1

was working fine some week ago.

from /var/log/apt/history.log.1.gz when it was working
