Bug Description
Actions:
Open Cheese
From preferences change video resolution
Select video as recording mode (either using the button or from the menu)
Expected behavior:
Video resolution changes and new aspect ratio image is shown in Cheese monitor.
Observed behavior:
Cheese monitor is black with message "There was an error playing the video from the webcam"
The webcam is not activated
All modes in menu are greyed.
Modes cannot be selected until cheese is closed
Workaround #1
Set both photo and video modes to the desired video resolution - both video and photo resolution must be the same.
Quit Cheese
Reopen Cheese
New video resolution is selected
Workaround #2
Select video mode
Make a video recording
Now the video resolution can be changed independently of the photo resolution
NOTE that a recording must be made at the selected resolution every time before it can be changed.
