Bug Description

its just my hunch of what i think has gone wrong. pulse also isnt detected the camera's mic.. skype also doesnt detect a webcam.
i may post this to the utopic package maintainer as well.

further experimentation reveals that the cause maybe insufficient power in my usb hub.

**going to post this now , im expecting a kernel tantrum **

will confirm this shortly.

Confirmed... insufficiant power in the usb hub, despite the webcam being the only device using it.

please mark as solved and add this to your debugging checklist.

low priority further action:

contact the usb host kernel module maintainer and ask them to give us a few more milliamp's if required.
