Symptom: the disk benchmark script returns the following error:

-bash: /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/disk_bench_test: Permission denied

Possible cause: the disk_bench_test script doesn't have the execution bit set:

ls -l /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/disk_bench_test
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 431 2009-10-14 17:23 /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/disk_bench_test

Proposed solution:

chmod +x /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/disk_bench_test

After that, the script correctly returned:

Timing cached reads = 726.96 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads = 27.60 MB/sec

Note: the problem may affect other checkbox scripts (in /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/).
