system test does not work (audio works though)

Bug Description

I chose System->Admin(whatever it is in english)->System Test

first test is Audio device:
+ takes almost a minute to launch
+ this is on a Lenovoe S10, so I leave audio preferences just as they are (audio works nice on karmic)
+ when I start the test, a window shows up for some milliseconds, and the test fails...

This sounds like a failure of the test or testing software itself so I am reassigning the bug to the checkbox package.
