Bug Description

There's been an impressive list of changes between 0.6.7 and 0.7.0:

I'm particular interested in the new 256-color mode support.

This is no longer a mere feature request: cgdb 0.6.7 doesn't work properly with Ubuntu's GDB 8.2.91 (Ubuntu 19.04) or GDB 8.3 (Ubuntu 19.10) as they use colored output by default, which cgdb can only deal with starting with version 0.7.0. See bug #1850993.
