i dont see any noticable problems except not being able to adjust the screen brightness

Screen brightness not able to be adjusted, i did have to install OS a few times before it showed full brightness

Your screen backlight is usually a completely separate device and kernel driver from the graphics driver. Have a look in:
   /sys/class/backlight/
for details and low-level controls.

So this is not a valid cedarview-drm-drivers bug. But if you find which package is at fault causing your backlight problem, you can add it to this bug.

Hmm, actually I could be wrong. Seems there are some cedarview-specific backlight problems. Like in:
