Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

When I try to burn a cd with anything on it (data disk), it comes up with an error stating that cdrecord and mkisofs is not installed. This happens with all 3, Brasero, Nautilus Write to Disk, and XCDroast. When I see if I have either of the programs installed (cdrecord or mkisofs), they are not, but have symbolic links to wodim and genisoimage respectively. But the programs do not seem to see them or use them.

Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04

Gnome version 2.30.2, Kernel 2.6.32-24-generic, Gcc 4.4.3 (x86_64-linux-gnu)

then that's probably an issue with cdrecord or mkisofs not being installed correctly rather than a bug in the applications

affects: brasero (Ubuntu) → cdrtools (Ubuntu)

I have no cdrtools, cdtools, cdrecord or mkisofs available thru synaptic.

There are several cdrtools packages available as PPA, search e.g. for brandonsnider
