Bug Description

Binary package hint: cdrom-detect

Since a fresh install of karmic the cdrom is not detected. In fstab there is entry for cdrom and also on /dev there is no entry for cdrom.
The cdrom was working perfectly on 9.04, and this has happened since upgrade or fresh install of karmic. I had to install karmic from a usb pen

I'm quite sure the cd/dvd drive is working. I tried to install windows 7 and the dvd booted without any problems
