Bug Description
Binary package hint: brasero
Brasero refuses to even start burning, it stops on "Building CUE Sheet" and gives always the same "unknown error". I had Ubuntu 32bit and on it Brasero burned normally. On 64bit I cannot do such an operation. GnomeBaker has the same problem. On Nero 3.5 it works fine.

This problem is not related to 64 bit but to the fact
that you have wodim installed instead of the original software.
Wodim added many bugs that never have been in the original
software and wodim does not implement working DVD support.
The initiator of wodim ripped off the working DVD support from the
original software and replaced it by something half baken.
Your problem is caused by the non-working DVD "support" in wodim.
manually remove wodim and replace it by the original software from:
ftp://ftp. berlios. de/pub/ cdrecord/ alpha/ cdrecord. berlios. de
http://
cdrecord will send the right SCSI commands to the drive that don't let it fail.
