Bug Description

Please remove the ancient GTK2-based vte aka. libvte9{,-common} from Eoan.

Upstream version has been unmaintained for about 8 years, development continued in the GTK3 branch (vte2.91 aka. libvte-2.91-0).

Geany is the only package referring to it, and it also does incorrectly since it already uses GTK3, see bug 1829375.

cdebconf-terminal also build-depends on libvte-dev, this should be resolved first before we do an Ubuntu-specific removal.

No action taken on the cdebconf-terminal reverse-dependency in 6+ months; unsubscribing ubuntu-archive. Please resubscribe when this is ready for removal.
