I don't install Ubuntu 7.04 DVD too... I have the same problem (end_request: I/O error, device fd0, sector 0, Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0) how to fix it? Anybody fix this problem? ASUS Barebone machine, no floppy drive, no options about floppy in the BIOS... This very actually problem, and i must fix it quickly...

P.S. Maybe install/start command promt have any options about disable floppy check or misc?
