Bug Description

Binary package hint: initramfs-tools

This occurred after startup using 10.04 live usb.
I have had similar issues when installing broadcom wireless, but this was from a different box, different wireless, network fine.

It looks as if this error is independent of the wireless setup not running / failing

not sure what this error is associated with

This might be initramfs package not installing properly without a live network connection

If it's still an issue could you please open a terminal and run the following command:

And if it fails please attach the output to this report. Thanks in advance.

I didn't choose the log files to add!

This was from a fresh install, at the time of install there would have been no network (because i use wireless and it wasn't installed yet) and the network wouldn't install from jockey (bcmwl)

When I tried to add a different package, was told there were broken packages & when i fixed, all was ok

I got warnings about initramfs when trying to add the wireless package from jockey and eventually used dpkg to add packages direct from the cd

Suppose, this could happen after 'casper' package update, ain'so?
