Bug Description

I tried to install Jaunty alpha 4 on my aluminium macbook (alternative install CD, AMD64) but it didn't go too well. Keyboard works initially and I'm able to select the installing option from the boot screen. Then, "i8042.c: no controller found" flashes on the screen and the internal keyboard stops working (and subsequently also the installation process).

I tried dmesg with 8.10 (I had no problems with the keyboard with this version) and found the same "no controller found" announcement. Macs internal keyboard is detected by "USB HID v1.11" in 8.10.

The same happens with an external USB keyboard.

Same situation for me on white Macbook 2,1.
Also with Jaunty Alpha3. Both Live and Alternate CD's.

I've tried noacpi, noapic, irqpoll, fb=false,.... with no luck.
I've checked the media is ok by booting different machines with same CD.
