2014-09-07 16:03:02 Dmytro description I have notebook Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720 I have this error / init: line 7: can not open / dev / sr0: No medium found while trying to boot from a flash drive to install ubuntu 14.04/14.04.1 x64 on a my laptop. I certainly understand that Ubuntu thinks that it needs to boot from cd, but I also tried burn iso to DVD and boot from it, and i have another error - "No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found". Advise something. By the way Ubuntu Gnome 14.04.1 x64 and Kubuntu 14.04.1 x64 and Ubuntu 14.04.1 x32 boot without any problems. I try to write Ubuntu 14.04/14.04.1 iso to usb from Startup Disk Creator(from ubuntu 12.04), rufus (from windows 8.1), Ultraiso, dd in terminal from 12.04 After many appeals to the dev/sr0 (screenshot 1) appears the final error (in the screenshot 2) I have notebook Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720 I have this error / init: line 7: can not open / dev / sr0: No medium found while trying to boot from a flash drive to install ubuntu 14.04/14.04.1 x64 on a my laptop.
