Bug Description

Binary package hint: casper

Choosing verify CD at boot up in Kubuntu launches the live system. The command line includes "integrity-check". This doesn't appear to happen in Ubuntu.

I have observed this behavior also with the daily build from 20070808.

This happens when usplash dies due to there being no suitable theme. We should make casper-md5check able to fall back to printing status to stdout.

I've got some way there but haven't sorted out what to do with the progress bar yet. Unless somebody beats me to it, it'll have to wait until I get back from holiday.
