2007-09-05 22:08:10 Stéphane Graber description Binary package hint: casper ubuntu amd64 desktop and edubuntu amd64 desktop are not able to install with 256mb memory using the 20070411 build. When attempting to open the installer, the window will sometimes open but it will just be blank or it will not show up at all. At that point, the system becomes unusable and the load continues to increase. It also becomes unusable if trying to open up Firefox, OpenOffice.org Writer, or other applications. Increasing the memory to 512 immediately solves this. The edubuntu amd64 desktop beta from http://releases.ubuntu.com installs fine with 256mb memory.
