Calligra has no appstream information so for exmple Krita is not discoverable in Discover.

FTR, this is the case due to Calligra being packaged incorrectly *and* not icon being found.

So, it has metainfo files, which can not be used due to these issues.

Some calligra apps (like Karbon) do show up in the (GNOME/Ubuntu) Software app in Ubuntu 16.04, 16.10 and 17.04 Alpha.

I see that Krita shows up as a snap.

I think this might have been fixed in zesty now after a sync with Debian.
