Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

I've the same issue: "Calibre won't launch". Since I've the kubuntu-ppa-ubuntu-next-backports-utopic enabled the installed version of calibre is "2.5.0+dfsg-1ubuntu1p" Follows what it appens at the prompt line command:
~$ LCALL=C calibre
python2.7: siplib.c:11980: sipEnumType_alloc: asserzione "(((currentType)->td_flags & 0x0007) == 0x0003)" non riuscita.
Annullato (core dump creato)

running calibre as superuser I got:

~$ xhost +
access control disabled, clients can connect from any host
~$ su -
Password:
~# calibre

Instead of filing a new bug report I added a comment here ;)
As attachment the output of:
~# apport-cli --save=/root/calibre.log -f -p calibre

HTH
Best regards
