Ubuntu calibre [error converting pdf to mobi]

Bug Description
While trying to convert a PDF file to MOBI, calibre hangs up with following error:
I'm running on Ubuntu 12.04 x64, and just installed calibre for the first time. Other functions do work well.

Hello, I suggest to have a look at this conversion tool and get mobi formats readable on eBooks. For instance, http:// kitpdf. com/ is a good method to do these conversions. Give it a shot and see if you get any errors on your Ubuntu version. Cheers!
