E-reader device does not remember current page of books loaded from Calibre

Bug Description
I am using the current Calibre package from Ubuntu 12.04. I use it to manage all my ebooks, through I normally read the ebooks on a Nook reader. When I turn the Nook on after a complete power off, it remembers the book I was reading but not the current page. It drops me at the first page of the book every time. Sometimes, I get a message that the book has been read on another device and there is a remembered page number for that device. In these cases, the remembered page number (for the other device) is correct, except I have not been reading the book on any other device.
