Bug Description
according to `man cal`, we should be able to use the -w option to print week numbers:
-w Print the number of the week below each week column.
When you try that, you'll get the following:
tom@laptole:~$ cal -w
Usage: cal [general options] [-hjy] [[month] year]
cal [general options] [-hj] [-m month] [year]
ncal [general options] [-bhJjpwySM] [-s country_code] [[month] year]
ncal [general options] [-bhJeoSM] [year]
General options: [-NC31] [-A months] [-B months]
For debug the highlighting: [-H yyyy-mm-dd] [-d yyyy-mm]
the /usr/bin/cal executable has been provides by package bsdmainutils of which I'm having:
tom@laptole:~$ apt-cache policy bsdmainutils
bsdmainutils:
Installed: 9.0.5ubuntu1
Candidate: 9.0.5ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 9.0.5ubuntu1 0

tom@laptole:~$ lsb_release -a

Codename: utopic
I can confirm this. It also doesn't accept the -h option and other ones as well. ncal -h works but cal -h errors. Cal seems pretty broken, lots of open bugs on this for many years but no fixes seem to be coming. Let me know if I can help troubleshoot this further if anyone is interested in fixing this. Thanks,
