Bug Description

Using Caja 1.26.3 on a fully patched 24.04 system, the keyboard focus gets lost when trying to access the "2nd instance of a file".

For example: consider a folder with "Folder" and folder.txt. Keying "f" from the very top of the list would first select "Folder" but pressing "f" a 2nd time will result in folder.txt NOT being selected and the cursor/selection going AWOL.

Another problem is after this failed, by selecting the entry immediately after "Folder" and pressing "f" again will result in the cursor selection to highlight "folder.txt" however keyboard shortcuts (CTRL+X) fails to work.

Another use case for this is when using the END key.

If I press "f" and the cursor highlights an entry starting with f but then I wish to overriding this selection via my keyboard's END key, it will jam/not work/respond
