Bug Description

i installed ubuntu mate 23.04 on a virtual machine (virt-manager) during the installation i chose to erase all the disk. successful installation but on the first boot arrived at the desktop i get the attached error. The same thing happens on the real machine upgrading from ubuntu mate 22.10(which was working perfectly) to ubuntu mate 23.04
