Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch Ubuntu MATE 21.10
2. Open terminal to watch `tail -f ~/.xsession-errors`
3. Open Caja, navigate to Edit, Preferences, Extensions
Expected results:
1. Extension list looks good
2. The ~/.xsession-errors is not filled at all.
Actual results:
1. Extension list has wrong characters
2. The ~/.xsession-errors is full of the messages like shown below
