cairo-dock not adding cairo session

Bug Description
I used to have a different session dedicated to Cairo dock when I had Unity as DE you could log out and pick it as a different Desktop environment. This is missing In Ubuntu MATE 16.04

I'm not sure if it works in Mate, but cairo-dock can add its own session. desktop- manager= ON
You can try to build it from sources, with
cmake -Denable-
