Bug Description

After recent update, animations began working properly; however, now the resolution of the docks (mouse over, static, background) are VERY low. Looks terrible. All icons are working, no issue. Cairo restart ineffective. Logout ineffective.

Hi,
thank you for reporting this problem.
Did you try without opengl (cairo-dock -c) ?
Also, could it be after an update of the dock or of the system ?
If you have a doubt, it could be interesting to revert to a previous
version (before the problem started).
Do you have a very large screen (maybe the scale is very high: 'gsettings
get org.gnome.desktop.interface scaling-factor') ?

Hi,

The latest version that you're now using fixes this bug: the OpenGL backend was not enabled by default on many configurations.
If you prefer to not use the OpenGL version (because your video drivers don't support well some features), you can launch this command and save you new choice:

  $ cairo-dock -A

Is it what you want? :-)

Yes, that's exactly what I want. Surprisingly, when I did (TY Fabounet), cairo-dock -c, I got the same poor looking icons; however, when using -A and answered 'No', the icons are back to their great looking and sharp icons.

Both commands were done in terminal, but the GUI result worked v. the argument to the command. Thank y'all, that fixed the horrible display.

Great :-)

I'm making this bug as invalid (because no modification is needed in the source code).

What's your video card and is drivers?

    $ glxinfo | grep OpenGL

Changed in cairo-dock (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

No worries, I understand the 'invalid' result.
