This is strange but I guess this bug is due to your video drivers... (the dock is using OpenGL with transparency on a small part of the desktop, it's not a common behaviour ;-) ).

Is it maybe possible to report this bug on FreeDesktop and add a link here? https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Mesa&component=Drivers/DRI/i965&version=10.1
