Bug Description

Please remove the bzr-svn source package and binary package from saucy. The package has FTBFS for a couple of releases now.

"recent" (as of Subversion 1.7) changes to the behaviour of libsvn, which bzr-svn depends on through
python-subvertpy, have broken the bzr-svn testsuite which causes it to FTBFS.
It's nontrivial to fix these regressions, and nobody has stepped up in the last year to do so.

See http://bugs.debian.org/709223 for the related bug in Debian, where bzr-svn has been removed from unstable.

Does this mean that from Saucy on, one cannot use SVN repos with bzr anymore? No way?

bzr-svn is not compatible with svn 1.7. Therefore one has a choice between keeping old svn & bzr-svn, or dropping one of the two.
Once can still use bzr-svn (e.g. clone it as a plugin into ~/.bazaar/plugins/) together with matching older libsvn & python-subvertpy.

The ideal solution would of course be that somebody steps up to fix this. I'm happy to answer questions, I just don't have the time to work on this myself.
