Bug Description
Dear Friends,
I've upgraded from oneiric to precise.
During some tests for which I created a new user in my precise system, I've noticed that Byobu looks fabulous! With a real Ubuntu logo and some other nice improvements.
So I felt a bit left behind.
Why didn't my Byobu get this facelift? Why didn't it enjoy the benefits of the new version? I asked myself.
So I deleted some files in my home directory where Byobu configurations may be and restarted Byobu and bang! The new, beautiful Byobu was now presented. Excited and confused I thought of things like upgrades and particularly configuration upgrades and what is a configuration, any way?
Any way!
This shouldn't happen. Users should get the latest Byobu experience unless they have decided otherwise (some how, for some strange reason, because this is Free software).
So... How many users of precise right now, which have upgraded from oneiric, and how many of them will be after release, who won't enjoy an upgraded Byobu (the most fabuliscious Ubuntu CLI goodness)?
Thanks and Blessings,
Shahar

Thanks for the kind comments about the "new" Byobu for 12.04. I'm extremely happy and proud of it.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to do as you suggest -- automatically switch users from the screen backend to the tmux backend. I can, and have, ensured that "new" users to Byobu receive the "new" tmux based experience. But unfortunately, there are too many users who want and expect the screen based experience at this point.
Note that you didn't need to remove your byobu configuration. You could have simply run "byobu- select- backend" and that would have switched you over. Perhaps I should add that to the F9 menu...
