Bug Description

udhcpd in bionic does not stop on SIGTERM due to an upstream change.
This was corrected by the following patch:

https://git.busybox.net/busybox/commit/?id=3293bc146985c56790033409facc0ad64a471084

Please apply and backport/SRU this change to bionic.

This has been open for over a year, with a fix indicated from the very beginning. Is there any chance that patch can be applied?

Anyway to raise the priority on this?, almost two years since the bug was fixed in busybox but ubuntu has not picked the patch. I had to update the service stop script to do a pkill -9 udhcpd but that is not ideal.
