impossible launching bum from menu

Binary package hint: bum
distribution : intrepid ibex 8.10

(en?) "execution of child process "su-to-root" failed (no file or folder)"
When launching bum from menu, I have this error message. Launching it in a terminal with sudo works great. I tried uninstalling-
