Bug Description
Binary package hint: btpd
if i restart btpd using the following 2 commands in succession: (1) "btcli kill" (2) "btpd"
btpd restarts just fine, and seeds and leeches properly. however, btcli does not work anymore. i get the following error:
btcli: cannot open connection to btpd in /var/lib/btpd: Permission denied

This is not properly a bug, it's related to how btpd works in Ubuntu doc/btpd/ README. Debian) .
(see /usr/share/
btpd runs as a system daemon with its own user, you should use the init script to control it:
sudo /etc/init.d/btpd stop -> kill
sudo /etc/init.d/btpd start -> launch
sudo /etc/init.d/btpd restart -> first kill then launch again
However, I understand this is not very user-friendly. I'm thinking of a better way to force users to manage the daemon correctly. Any suggestion is welcome.
Cheers,
Cesare.
