Bug Description

I had my Brother MFC 240 working just fine for over a month, then on 14 July it just stopped working and now xsane gives the following error:

Failed to open device `brother2:bus2;dev1': Error during device I/O.

It works under Vista and I've changed my users back to that for the time being.
