brltty init script lacks the 'status' action

Bug Description

Binary package hint: brltty

brltty init script lacks the 'status' action. It would be useful to be able to determine if the status daemon is running or not by querying:
 * /etc/init.d/brltty status

A concerted effort is being made to add status actions to many Ubuntu services' init scripts:

Init script part of the patch looks good.

But you're also bumping the Standards-Version: 3.8.0.

Are you sure that this package is compliant?

To the best of my knowledge, this package is compliant with version 3.8.0 of the Debian Policy.
