+1. Year after year, version after version, it *always* fails to write my disks. And seems always ruins them also.
No way to recommend an Ubuntu newbie to use it and not hear "writing DVDs on Linux sucks" after that.

Hi Eustaquio and Pavol,

Try to update brasero to 3.4.1-0ubuntu1.1 version from Ubuntu 12.04 (or 12.10) "updates" repository - updated version fixes very important bug #780117 ("Brasero finishes without error but unusable media[on-the-fly mode] (Ubuntu 11.04 ->12.04)") and now most people can burn DVDs and CDs without problems with Brasero.

Mantas, 3.6.1 is the version in Ubuntu 13.04 and it just made a drink coaster out of a DVD+R. This sort of thing needs to change if people want Linux to ever have any real success among users.

I just tried to burn a simple flacs to an audio CD, Brasero managed to screw first disk completely, burn a 25 minutes of silence on another, and then started to produce undecipherable messages like "impossible to link to plugin pads" or whatever. Afterwards, it only produced messages like "Cannot eject disk" and "Disk already mounted" and similar nonsense. Uninstalled brasero, installed k3b and voila, I have my CD Audio on first run. Please replace Brasero with anything.
