Bug Description
Binary package hint: brasero
Using edgy, the burning speed select box doesn't work. It has no max limit, and so i can select 1000000x as burning speed.
Anyway, this doesn't affect real burning speed.
This bug has been confirmed by other people using edgy on 64 or i386 arch.

The burning speed combobox gives a list with burning speeds, this list is limited to the maximum speed of your cd/dvd recorder (as reported by the hal). How are you able to select 1000000x, is this in the list?
Please run the following command on a terminal:
$ lshal > lshal.txt
Attach your lshal.txt to this bug report and tell us which is the max. writing speed that is indicated on your cd/dvd recorder.
