BraseroDvdcss could not retrieve key

When I try to back-up a dvd as futurama seasons 2 I get this error: fatal error in vts css key.
This doesn't happen with every dvd.
Libdvdcss ist installed and vlc/mplayer and totem have no issues playing the dvd.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. I believe I'm having the same problem on Ubuntu Quantal. While trying to rip a DVD image, Brasero fails with the error message, "Error while retrieving a key used for encryption." I am able to rip the same disc just fine using dd if=/dev/sr0, so I know it's not a problem with my drive.

Brasero's error message suggests that I set DVDCSS_METHOD=title and try again, which I did, but it still failed.

Brasero is an optionless blackbox and a monumentous piece of crap, which I (not important) as well as those who bring you your distro (important) have known for a long time.
