Bug Description
Binary package hint: brasero
Brasero does not calculate remaining time or percentage properly, which is reflected in the progress bar.
Two situations to fix which may make the estimation more specific:
1 - Slow start to burn. The slow start to the disc spinning gives an inaccurate estimation. For example: 438 minutes remaining, when the disc actually took under 15 minutes to burn. The slow start issue seems to mean that the time shown to the user is not an average but a real-time number. There must be some ways to correct this to that the user knows how long they will be waiting before the disc is done.
2 - Post-burn operations are not included in the % remaining estimation. After the burn is complete (or so assumes since it says 100%) it still needs 1:30 seconds for post-burn operations (Creating image checksum). These operations count down by the second, but seem to cound a second in 1/3 of a second, meaning it is running 3 times to fast. The progress dialog is inaccurate saying it is 100% done while it still has a long ways to go. This should be corrected so that these tasks are calculated into the remaining time and percentage.
