Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

When running Brasero to make a 1:1 copy of an audio CD, an error message pops up and tells that all required libraries are not installed and that I have to install cdda2wav manually and retry.

The problem is still there. The error message has changed a bit though. My system is in French, so this is a translation:

"All the required applications and libraries are not installed. Install manually the following software and try again:

cdda2wav (application)

cdrdao (application)

cdrdao (application)"

Yes, cdrdao is mentioned twice!

Have same problem.
Brasero trys to install missing files automatically. Trys to find KPackageKit, but fails with message "The file could not be found in any packages". Asks then to install manually toc2cue and cdrdao.

Expected behaviour is:
- these extra files should be installed per default, so copy disk would work out of the box
- or these extra files should be somewhere in the repository, so they could be installed automatically

The program cdrdao is provided by the package cdrdao. cdda2wav is provided by the package icedax. Installing both packages resolved the problem for me.

The package cdrdao is mentioned in the brasero package as a Suggest, but the icedax dependency is completely missing. Should be fixed. Maybe both as Recommends, or replace the error message with a meaningful one as well.

Have you attempted to install cdda2wav ?
I had a similar problem & ran

sudo apt-get install cdda2wav

in terminal.

After installation it copied normally
