Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

Brasero does not recognize my cd/dvd drive and the dvd in my drive and therefore never allows me to burn a cd/dvd. On the other hand, Gnomebaker works perfectly. I have noticed this same problem with Brasero and solution with Gnomebaker on every distrobution of ubuntu I have tried extending back to 8.04. Please consider either fixing brasero so it is as good as Gnomebaker for cd burning/hardware recognition or consider replacing Brasero with Gnomebaker as the default cd burning application.

could you get a brasero log by running brasero as: brasero --brasero-media-debug &> brasero-debug.txt ; perform the operation to reproduce the issue and attach that resulting log file to the report? Thanks.

I'm not really sure how to make a log of brasero like you requested and I
can't find anything in Google explaining how to do so. I wish I could help
more. - Adam
