Comment 57 for bug 405544

I updated the kernel to 2.6.32.2 using Ubuntu (mainline) Generic .deb files here:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.32.2/

I am now able to successfully write to DVD and CD using Brasero, Gnomebaker or XFBurn.

Still appear to get the same errors in the dmesg log when a blank DVD is inserted, but the DVD burns fine:
