Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

Hi,

when adding directories to the list of things to be burned on a DVD, it is not possible to remove hidden subdirectories.
E.g. if I want to add my home directory, but then to remove $HOME/.cache the directory .cache is not listed in the right window, and there is no menu option "show hidden files" like in the left windows.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: amd64
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/brasero
Package: brasero 0.8.2-0ubuntu1
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=(custom, user)
 SHELL=/bin/tcsh
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
SourcePackage: brasero
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64

This seems to be a result of using an extremely outdated
abd buggy version of mkisofs on Ubuntu.

mkisofs offers a built-in find(1) command since 3 years
and for this reason, it is simple to implement your wish.

Thanks for the report but you can actually do this, If you add a directory with hidden files brasero shows you a file list on the bottom of the burning window it says : "Show the filtered file list" and the number of hidden files or filtered on your directory, if you choose one of them and click on restore it will add those files to the project and you can easily manage those on the previous view, delete, rename, etc. And please update to brasero 2.26.1 which is the default for jaunty you seems to be using the previous version. thanks.

Changed in brasero (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

Nope, it shows hidden files, but it does not show hidden directories.

If you have regular (=non-hidden) files in a hidden directory
(such as ~/.cache ) it does not show them.
